As of Pediatric Dentistry Department, our main goal is the prevention and promotion of oral and dental health of children aged infancy to 14 years. We collaborate with our administrative, academic, and instructional team, which consists of 10 Faculty Members, in order to achieve this goal. In our department, theoretical and practical lectures on pediatric dentistry and community oral health are instructed for 1st to 5th grade students. In addition to contemporary scientific theoretical and practical applications in our undergraduate and postgraduate education; dental procedures are performed in clinical conditions or under general anesthesia for pediatric patients with special care need, disability and systemic diseases.

Oral health practices performed in 3 different clinics of our Pediatric Dentistry Department include preventive practices (for dental and gingival diseases), restorative and endodontic treatments of primary and permanent teeth, management of dental traumas, approaches to dental developmental disorders and early treatment of malocclusions.

As the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, we are glad to provide scientific and contemporary education to our students, qualified, and holistic service to our pediatric patients, as well as have a respected place in the national and international society through our scientific studies.
